We strongly believe that he future lies in our children. In order to secure us, the planet and our children's future, we must provide education to every single child on earth.
In many parts of the world, girls are not allowed to get basic or higher education. There are 600 million adolescent girls in the developing world, and they are an undeniable force for social and economic impact. But only if given the opportunity.
Around the world, girls are denied a formal education because of social, economic, legal and political factors. And in being denied an education, society loses one of its greatest and most powerful resources.
Our admiration goes out to Malala Yousafzai. The Pakistani Taliban stormed the 15 year old Malala’s school bus on October 9th, 2012. They shot her in the head in an attempt to silence her and end her campaign for girls’ rights to go to school. Her shooting, and her refusal to stand down from what she believed was right, brought to light the plight of millions of children around the world who are denied an education today.
With JUWELIS CEO Steffen Bastian's extensive travel obligations in Asia, the following foundations have been added to JUWELIS Human Care Association:
Usthi Foundation
India and Nepal
Because we stongly belive in education and because we know the Usthi team very well, Human Care Association and JUWELIS Group committed to support the Usthi Foundation in Switzerland.
The founder Kurt Burki, a former Swissair commercial pilot, started in 1976 with a soup kitchen in Kolkata and developed other projects in India and Nepal in the past 37 years. His goal is to bring food, education, medicine and shelter to the less fortunate.
Today, more than 30,000 students finished in Usthi's schools and received job training and skills. Over 10,000 people obtained help after natural disaster through Usthi's program. Usthi's dedicated team assesses the current 16 projects constantly and is expanding into new locations where help is desperately needed.

JUWELIS Group and Human Care Global are in the planning phase to support the expansion of a historic temple facility as well as a clinic for Alzheimer patients in Japan.
